Kosofe Celebrates 3 Years of Transformative Leadership Under Chairman Ogunlewe

In a week-long celebration that captivated residents and officials alike, Kosofe Local Government Area marked the third anniversary of Executive Chairman Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe’s administration. The commemoration, themed “3 Unprecedented Achievements,” showcased a series of infrastructural developments and community welfare initiatives that have significantly improved life in Kosofe.

The festivities kicked off on Monday with the commissioning of 10 boreholes across seven wards, followed by a media parley where Chairman Ogunlewe highlighted his administration’s achievements. Tuesday saw the inauguration of several newly constructed roads, including Niyi Ogunleye Street in Ojota and multiple streets in Mende and Ogudu GRA.

Midweek activities included the distribution of eight transformers and the commissioning of additional roads in Anthony. The celebration reached a high point on Thursday with the unveiling of a fully equipped 10-classroom building at Mosafejo Primary School in Oworonsoki, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to education.

The grand finale on Friday featured the launching of 11 new roads across Kosofe, drawing attendance from high-profile government officials. Hon. Ayodele Olawande, Minister of State for Youth, and Hon. Bolaji Kayode Robert, Lagos State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Rural Development, were present to commend Chairman Ogunlewe’s transformative leadership.

Throughout the week, the Ogunlewe administration’s dedication to infrastructure development, education, and community welfare was on full display. The successful execution of these projects underscores the fulfillment of campaign promises and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of Kosofe residents.

As the celebration concluded, the sentiment echoed through the streets of Kosofe was one of joy and optimism, captured in the local expression: “Kòṣọ̀fẹ́ ẹ yọ̀! …mo yọ̀ fún ẹ, mo yọ̀ fúnra mi!” (Rejoice, Kosofe! I rejoice for you, and I rejoice for myself!)The transformative vision of Chairman Ogunlewe has indeed come to life, setting a new standard for local governance and community development in Lagos State.
