Lagos East Council Stakeholders Unanimously Back Senator Abiru for Second Term

In a show of unity that speaks volumes about grassroots confidence, the 16 Local Government Area and Local Council Development Area chairmen of Lagos East Senatorial District have unanimously endorsed Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru for re-election ahead of the 2027 general elections. APC LGA chairmen across the district equally passed a vote of confidence on the senator in a separate session.

Speaking for the council chairmen, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki LGA, praised the senator’s record on infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and community-focused programming, describing his stewardship as both visible and commendable.

Senator Abiru responded with characteristic humility, acknowledging the council chairmen as indispensable partners in grassroots development. “Together, we have continued to deliver impactful projects and improve the quality of life of our people across the district,” he said.

The senator reaffirmed his commitment to all 98 wards in the senatorial district and called on party leaders to rally behind the APC’s flag bearers, beginning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
