DOINGGOOD:SENATOR ABIRU DISTRIBUTES FOOD PACKS TO 12,000 HOUSEHOLDS AND 500 PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED FOR EID-EL-KABIR

Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, has distributed food packs to 12,000 households across 16 local governments and local council development areas in celebration of Eid-el-Kabir.

The comprehensive initiative, executed on Wednesday, 4th June 2025, included the distribution of 75 cows and 200 rams to royal fathers, party leaders, clerics, and community stakeholders. Each household received rice and garri branded with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s and Senator Abiru’s names, demonstrating alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The #DoingGood outreach targeted vulnerable populations including persons with disabilities, the elderly, women, and unemployed youths, many selected through an online nomination process. Speaking at his Ikorodu constituency office, Senator Abiru emphasised collaborative governance to address economic challenges.

“This programme reflects our continued commitment to the welfare of the people of Lagos East, especially during seasons of spiritual reflection and celebration like Eid-el-Kabir,” he stated.

The initiative received commendation from Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, highlighting Senator Abiru’s sustained humanitarian efforts and community development programmes.
